Keeley Hawes Returns for The Assassin Season 2 with New Cast Members

Prime Video has announced a new roster of actors joining the cast of its thriller series The Assassin for season two, alongside first-look images. Keeley Hawes reprises her role as Julie Green, with Freddie Highmore returning as her estranged son Edward.

Shalom Brune-Franklin and Devon Terrell are also back as Kayla and Ezra respectively. New additions include Arnaud Binard (Emily in Paris), Natalia Tena (Riot Women), Boris Van Severen (Baptiste), Jacqueline Boatswain (After the Flood), and Monic Hendrickx.

The season will introduce a charismatic Frenchman who crosses paths with Julie, and a sharp Spanish detective named Inspector Cortez, described as possessing emotional intelligence and steely ambition. The series is written by Harry and Jack Williams, creators of The Missing and Baptiste.

Season two picks up after a disastrous trip to Berlin leaves Edward and Julie estranged once more. Julie has returned to her assassin ways while navigating the dating scene. When Edward's honeymoon with Kayla goes awry, he must reunite with Julie to take on Spain's corrupt underworld.

The Assassin season 2 is expected to premiere on Prime Video in 2026.
