Ruth Codd Accused of Spoiling Celebrity Traitors Plot

BBC viewers have expressed outrage after suspecting that actress Ruth Codd, known for her role in Netflix's The Fall of the House of Usher, inadvertently revealed a major spoiler for The Celebrity Traitors. In a TikTok video posted on October 15, Codd grimaced and gave a thumbs up while sipping wine, with text reading: 'You think you have trust issues? I thought my favourite comedian was following me around because they wanted to be my friend but they were actually trying to murder me for 24 hours straight on national television.'

Fans interpreted the clip as confirmation that Codd is murdered during the show, which is pre-recorded. One viewer wrote: 'Ruth, please hold my hand while you answer this... did you just spoil an entire season or show for me right now?' Another added: 'THIS is how I find out.' However, Codd later clarified in the comments that she was referring to her narrow escape from being murdered by Traitor Alan Carr during the previous week's episode.

During last night's episode (October 15), Codd correctly identified chat show host Jonathan Ross as a Traitor at the Round Table, highlighting his contradictory actions. She reminded the group that Ross had promised an alliance with her, Clare Balding and Niko Omilana, but then voted to eliminate Niko at the first Round Table. Despite Ross rejecting the accusations, Balding supported Codd's recollection.
