HBO has announced that 'Last Week Tonight with John Oliver' will return for its 13th season on February 15. The Emmy-winning late-night comedy show, produced by Avalon and Peyance Productions, typically airs 30 episodes per year from February through November.
The series is executive produced by Oliver, Tim Carvell, Liz Stanton, Jon Thoday, and James Taylor, with Paul Pennolino directing. The last season ended with a telethon auctioning off memorabilia from previous episodes.
In addition, HBO is preparing to launch 'Neighbors', a six-part late-night series from A24 and Central Pictures. The show examines real-life residential conflicts across the United States, featuring absurd and dramatic stories from larger-than-life characters.
'Neighbors' was created by Harrison Fishman and Dylan Redford, who also executive produce and direct. Josh Safdie, Eli Bush, Ronnie Bronstein, JP Lopez Ali, Jonathan Hausfater, and Chris Bowyer serve as executive producers. A premiere date has not yet been announced.
