Joel Dommett was forced to apologise on live television after an awkward cooking segment on Wednesday's episode of This Morning (August 21, 2024). The presenter, alongside co-host Rochelle Humes, was served a cheesecake by Celebrity MasterChef judge John Torode when the mishap occurred.
The Masked Singer star, unable to hide his eagerness for the dessert, attempted to take a bite but ended up dropping it back onto the plate from his mouth. Rochelle exclaimed: "Oh my gosh! What a way to ruin it." A flustered Joel responded: "I'm so sorry! That is unbelievable."
When offered a taste, Rochelle declined, saying: "I wanted some but there's a little bit of Joel drool!" Joel, visibly embarrassed, profusely apologised again: "I'm so sorry!"
Viewers took to social media to express their reactions. One person posted on X: "He just dropped that food back on that cheesecake??" Another wrote: "Oh f***ing hell! Joel is absolutely disgusting," while a third shared a vomiting emoji. One viewer remarked: "My 5-year-old grandson has better eating manners than Joel."
The pair have been hosting the show while regular presenters Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard are on an extended break.
