Jason Isaacs has admitted to feeling 'pure jealousy' over the upcoming fourth season of The White Lotus, which will be filmed at a 19th-century castle-turned-luxury hotel in Saint-Tropez, France. The actor, who starred in season three, made the comment on the red carpet at the 2026 Golden Globes.
Isaacs, 62, told Entertainment Tonight that he could easily take a train from his home to France, unlike the 15-hour flight to Thailand where season three was shot. 'I am jealous because I’ve got friends who are going to be in it, and they’re going to have the ride of their lives,' he said, praising series creator Mike White.
Isaacs played Timothy Ratliff in season three, a role that earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance in a Supporting Role on Television. He described his time on the show as 'magnificent' and encouraged any actor offered a role to 'jump at it' due to White's 'fantastically complex stories'.
The new season will be filmed at the Château de La Messardière, a five-star resort set within 32 acres of pine and cypress trees. Rooms cost between $3,000 and $8,000 per night. Filming is scheduled from late April to October, with Alexander Ludwig and AJ Michalka confirmed as cast members so far.
