Shocking footage has emerged showing a drunk British Airways passenger clashing with cabin crew, leading to his arrest at Heathrow Airport. The incident occurred on Flight BA275, a packed long-haul service from London to Las Vegas, where the man was seated in the Club World business class cabin, with tickets costing up to £7,000.
Confrontation on board
The aircraft, carrying over 300 passengers, was approaching the runway for takeoff when the man became agitated and left his seat. A female crew member intervened to calm him, but he ignored her repeated demands to 'stay seated, sir' and 'listen to instructions', instead becoming abusive and hurling expletives at staff and fellow passengers.
The man was warned he would be 'restrained' if he continued to cause trouble and was pushed back to his chair several times. The crew member told him: 'If I have to tell you again, I will be restraining you, sir, if you do not stay seated.' Despite this, his actions forced the takeoff to be aborted with seconds to go.
Arrest and aftermath
Dressed in a blue T-shirt and grey tracksuit bottoms, the passenger was met by armed police and escorted off the Airbus A350. Handcuffed and surrounded by officers, he was taken away from the aircraft, with footage of the incident later shared on social media.
A clip posted on Instagram by @bou_dnb documented the 'breakdown' and was liked over 170,000 times. The poster, who was on the flight, praised the air hostess, saying: 'Fair play to the air hostess here, because she absolutely held it down.' He added that 'all I could hear was a load of noise coming from the back from some drunken idiot' and called for her to be given a raise.

Official response
A British Airways spokesperson told Metro: 'Disruptive or abusive behaviour is never tolerated on board, and the safety of our customers and crew is our highest priority. When these incidents occur, the appropriate action will always be taken.'
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed to the Daily Mail that officers were called after reports of a disruptive passenger on an outbound plane. 'The plane returned to the terminal to allow officers to board the plane,' they said. 'A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk onboard an aircraft and failing to obey the commands of the pilot. He remains in police custody while further enquiries are carried out.'
