Jane McDonald has excited fans by teasing her upcoming Channel 5 series, 'Jane McDonald in Nashville'. The two-part travel special follows the Yorkshire-born singer as she explores the country music capital of the United States.
Taking to Instagram, McDonald shared a clip of herself in a country hat with Shania Twain's 'Man! I Feel Like A Woman!' playing. She wrote: 'Well… let’s go girls. My Nashville adventure is nearly here! Jane McDonald in Nashville starts 9th April at 9pm on @channel5_tv. I can’t wait for you to see it.'
Channel 5 also promoted the show, calling McDonald a 'country queen' and sharing photos from her US trip. Fans responded enthusiastically, with comments such as 'Yesssss! Cant wait for this!' and 'This is going to be EPIC.'
McDonald announced the programme last year, describing it as 'a two-part series where I’ll be exploring the sights, sounds and stories that make the home of country music such a magical place.' Highlights include the Bluebird Café, the Grand Ole Opry, the Jack Daniel’s Distillery, and a Pedal Tavern tour.
'There’s so much history, passion and talent here,' McDonald added, calling the adventure 'truly a dream come true'. 'Jane McDonald in Nashville' airs on Channel 5 on April 9 at 9pm.
