Jane McDonald Opens Up About Emotional Move to London

Jane McDonald has shared an update on her home life, revealing that living with her best friend Sue Ravey 'works' for her. The 63-year-old singer and TV star appeared on ITV's Lorraine on Friday, where she discussed her upcoming tour and recent move.

McDonald, whose fiancé Eddie Rothe passed away five years ago from lung cancer, now lives with Sue Ravey, her friend who has appeared alongside her on Celebrity Gogglebox. 'Everybody needs a Sue and everybody loves Sue and everybody wants to live with Sue,' McDonald said. 'It's great, it works. We're not joined at the hip. She's got her friends, I've got mine, but we have such a laugh together.'

The Wakefield-born star is preparing for her Living the Dream tour in the UK this August, following a trip to Nashville where she recorded her latest album. She described the experience as 'just the most amazing experience'.

During a clip shown on Lorraine, McDonald was seen in tears as she opened up about her career struggles. 'I've always felt my heart is in country as I'm a story teller,' she said. 'And when I write songs I write a story and this is my story.'

McDonald's Nashville trip was featured in a two-part Channel 5 documentary that aired last month. She admitted to feeling like 'the underdog' and broke down while listening to her new track at the iconic Blackbird Studio.
