British crime thriller Prey has landed on Netflix and is already climbing the UK top 10 chart. The two-season series, which originally aired on ITV from 2014 to 2015, currently holds the number five spot on Netflix's UK TV chart, according to FlixPatrol.
The show follows two criminal cases involving police officers in the Manchester area, with DS Susan Reinhart (Rosie Cavaliero) investigating both. Grace star John Simm leads the first season as DC Marcus Farrow, a detective who becomes the prime suspect after his ex-wife and sons are brutally murdered. After a police van crash allows him to escape, Farrow uncovers that his boss, DCI Andrea MacKenzie (Anastasia Hille), was responsible for the killings.
Season two stars Life on Mars actor Philip Glenister as prison officer David Murdoch, who is forced to follow kidnappers' orders when his pregnant daughter Lucy (Sammy Winward) is taken. The cast also includes Benedict Wong, Adrian Edmondson, Ralph Ineson, and Craig Parkinson.
On Rotten Tomatoes, Prey holds a perfect 100% Tomatometer score. Viewers have praised the series on IMDb, with one calling it a 'gem' and another saying 'Brits do it best'. The show is available to stream on Netflix now.
