Fans of the Yellowstone spin-off Dutton Ranch have been left confused after headlines suggested one of the main stars was preparing for an exit. However, the speculation is unfounded: Rip Wheeler, played by Cole Hauser, is not leaving the series.
Rip's New Role at the 10 Petal Ranch
The sequel sees Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser reprise their roles as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler, building a new life in Texas. Following devastating events, Rip took a job at the rival 10 Petal Ranch, owned by Beulah Jackson (Annette Bening), to earn money. He and Beth hoped to gather information about Beulah and prevent her from becoming a threat.
Reports of a 'Rip replacement' misled viewers; no one is lined up to take over the lead role. Actor Cole Hauser is not stepping down. Rip's ranch hands, Zachariach (Marc Menchaca) and Azul (J.R. Villarreal), have been handling his duties at Dutton Ranch while he works temporarily at the 10 Petal.
Rob-Will's Return Sparks Tension
In the latest episode, Beulah announced her addict son Rob-Will (Jai Courtney) would take over running the 10 Petal. Rob-Will and Rip previously clashed at a gas station, leading fans to predict Rip could be driven out or killed. With the finale approaching, anything is possible, but currently, Rip is staying put with no evidence of departure.
The series has not yet been renewed for another season, but its record-breaking debut suggests high hopes for a return. Dutton Ranch airs Fridays on Paramount+.
