An audience member who attended the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! finale has described the scenes as 'carnage', comparing them to the Jerry Springer show and revealing what viewers did not see on television.
The live final last week saw explosive rows overshadow Adam Thomas's victory, with David Haye and Jimmy Bullard clashing with the Emmerdale actor, while Sinitta and Gemma Collins stormed off the set. Tensions became so high that Scarlett Moffatt was in tears, and host Declan Donnelly comforted her.
In a video shared on social media, the fan gave an inside glimpse into the evening, branding the recording 'carnage'. She revealed that after the first time David heckled Adam, during an ad break David went over to the final four to shake their hands. Adam point-blank refused to shake his hand, saying, 'No, I'm not having this.'
She recalled that the massive argument on the sofa was like something from Jerry Springer, with Craig attempting to lighten the tense situation. Jimmy reportedly tried to explain his exit and contract details, but David would not be quiet, leading to heckling from the crowd. Sinitta then got up, stormed across the stage, and shouted at the audience, 'You weren't there, it was really aggressive, it was really intimidating.' Gemma Collins also stormed off. Ashley and Scarlett started crying during the ad break.
The audience member noted that during the ad break, something seemed to go down, with everyone looking heated and talking amongst themselves. When Adam came back, he looked like a broken man, as if he did not want to be there. Even when the winner was announced, he just gave a little smirk.
She added that between the main show and the ITV2 spin-off, Adam walked off, threw down his sceptre and crown, and was not seen again. His brother was in the audience, so he ran to him. She expressed feeling sorry for Adam.
Adam clashed with both David and Jimmy during filming in September, with tensions spilling over into the live broadcast. Fans rallied around the actor on social media, and Gemma Collins shared her support on Instagram, calling the behaviour a 'show up' and an embarrassment. She said the night was meant to be a celebration but was instead very upsetting.
