I Will Find You Filming Locations on Netflix Revealed

Netflix's new thriller I Will Find You is not one to miss if you're a Harlan Coben fan. The eight-part drama, based on the 2023 best-selling novel of the same name, was released on Thursday, June 18. After serving five years in prison for the murder of his son, innocent David Burroughs (played by Sam Worthington) has lost hope in ever tracking down who really killed his little boy. However, when he is presented with evidence which could prove that his son is still alive, David becomes consumed with finding out the truth and embarks on a prison escape. But where exactly was this must-watch new thriller filmed?

Where Was I Will Find You on Netflix Filmed?

Typically, Coben's Netflix adaptations have been set and filmed mostly in the UK or around Europe, but this isn't the case this time around. Netflix's I Will Find You is set in New York, but filming for the series actually took place in Kingston and Toronto in Canada. Canada is often used to replicate New York during productions, with the cast and crew spotted at the University of Toronto Mississauga campus. Filming also took place at Kingston Penitentiary, a former maximum security prison close to the US border. Some shooting did take place in America though, with I Will Find You filming around Central Park, Times Square, and Washington Square Park.

When Did Filming Take Place?

Filming reportedly began in April 2025 and was wrapped up by the end of August. Creator Harlan Coben told Tudum: "Netflix has been an amazing creative partner all over the globe — and now we get to come home and do it here in the United States. We have a dream team of talent."
