Stephanie Panozzo, known for her role as Eden on Home and Away, has reportedly exited the long-running Australian soap. The actress's departure comes amid a dramatic season finale that aired on Channel Seven on Monday, 28 November.
The finale featured a cliffhanger involving fan favourite Felicity, played by Jacqui Purvis, who experiences last-minute wedding jitters before her nuptials to Tane (Ethan Browne). Friends and family rally to save the day, but Felicity may fall victim to sinister forces, with hints that her car has been tampered with.
Other storylines include a potential romance between Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) and Eden, and a kidnapping plot involving Bree (Juliet Godwin) and her violent ex-husband, Jacob. The episode also teases a fiery car accident.
Home and Away has been a major economic success, generating $1 billion in export revenue for Australia since 1988 and employing between 1,500 and 2,000 people annually. The show also boosts tourism, with 33% of viewers in the UK, Ireland, and New Zealand expressing increased desire to visit Australia.
