Hollyoaks actress Lacey Findlow has announced she is leaving the Channel 4 soap after nearly eight years. The 14-year-old star joined the show in 2017 as Dee Dee Hutchinson, the adoptive daughter of Tony and Diane Hutchinson, taking over the role from Lily Harrington.
Findlow revealed on Instagram that what began as a six-month role turned into an eight-year journey. Her final scenes are set to air next week. She expressed gratitude for the experience, saying, 'Dee Dee Hutchinson, it’s been a joy bringing you to life.'
The actress thanked her co-stars, including Nick Pickard and Alex Fletcher, for their support, as well as the show's production team. She also acknowledged the fans for their support during Dee Dee's encephalitis storyline.
Findlow's departure marks the end of an era for the character, who has been a staple of the soap for nearly a decade. Her exit scenes will air in the coming days.
