Hollyoaks Star Jorgie Porter Opens Up About Miscarrying Quadruplets

Hollyoaks actress Jorgie Porter has revealed she suffered a missed miscarriage after discovering she was pregnant with quadruplets naturally. The 35-year-old, known for playing Theresa McQueen, shared her story in an interview with The Sun's Fabulous Magazine.

Porter, who had previously ruled out having children, changed her mind seven months into dating property developer Ollie Piotrowski. After stopping birth control, she became pregnant within weeks. However, at 13 weeks, a scan showed no life in the embryos, confirming a missed miscarriage where the body continues to show pregnancy symptoms despite the loss.

“It didn’t make sense. I’d not had any sign that things weren’t OK,” Porter said. “No pain or bleeding, I was getting bigger, my boobs were growing, I had so much hair on my body and I still felt pregnant. When the consultant performed the scan then said: ‘You’ve miscarried,’ I was in total shock.”

Porter underwent a general anaesthetic to clear her uterus. Afterwards, nurses gave her a care package with four tiny teddies, one for each baby lost. She reflected on the difficult year, which also included the deaths of her auntie Gina and Piotrowski’s grandfather. “As hard as it was losing them, I just have to believe that, for whatever reason, it wasn’t our time,” she said.

The actress emphasised the importance of talking openly about miscarriage, calling it a “taboo subject.” She said she has since supported colleagues who experienced miscarriages, telling them, “Me too. I get it. It’s OK to talk.” Porter and Piotrowski, who recently moved into a new home together, hope to have children in the future after giving her body time to rest.
