ITVBe has announced a new reality series, Drama Queens, featuring stars from EastEnders, Coronation Street, Emmerdale, and Hollyoaks. The eight-episode series premieres on Wednesday, 10 April at 9pm, offering viewers an unscripted look at the personal lives of beloved soap actors away from their on-screen characters.
The lineup includes Rita Simons, Ellie Leach, Amy Walsh, Brooke Vincent, Jamelia, Jorgie Porter, Laura Norton, Lucy Fallon, and Roxy Shahidi. The series promises to showcase their real-life struggles, triumphs, and friendships, with behind-the-scenes access to red-carpet events, holidays, and family moments.
Rita Simons, known for her decade-long role as Roxy Mitchell on EastEnders, will document her move north to join Hollyoaks, navigating motherhood and career changes. She said: 'After a decade on Albert Square, I'm making a big move up north to join Hollyoaks. I'm excited to bring Drama Queens viewers along for the ride.'
Former Coronation Street star Ellie Leach, who played Faye Windass, will share her life after winning Strictly Come Dancing in 2023. Her cousin Brooke Vincent, also a former Corrie star, will explore balancing motherhood with acting aspirations. Other cast members include Lucy Fallon, Amy Walsh, and Laura Norton, each offering candid insights into their careers and personal lives.
