A critically acclaimed series described as a 'hidden gem' by viewers is now available to stream on ITVX. The Dry, starring Roisin Gallagher, who also features in the hit Netflix series How to Get to Heaven From Belfast, has earned a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
The comedy-drama follows Shiv Sheridan, played by Gallagher, a woman returning to Dublin after years of partying in London as she strives for sobriety. The show, written by BAFTA-nominee Nancy Harris and directed by Paddy Breathnach, explores Shiv's efforts to maintain her sobriety while navigating her chaotic family, ex-lovers and new romantic interests.
Viewers have praised the series, with one calling it 'genuinely brilliant and a hidden gem' and another saying it's 'the best series in quite a while'. The first two series are available now on ITVX and RTÉ, with a third and concluding series already in production in Dublin.
