Canadian hockey romance series Heated Rivalry has finally secured a UK streaming home, with Sky and NOW set to premiere the show on 10 January 2026. The six-part series, based on Rachel Reid's Game Changers novels, has become a viral sensation since its debut in Canada last month, but British fans have been waiting for local availability.
Sky and NOW announced the news on social media, writing: 'Your winter just got a steamy upgrade. You can thank us later. #HeatedRivalry is coming to Sky and NOW 10 January.' The exact release pattern has not yet been revealed, but the date means less than four weeks until UK viewers can watch the romance between rival hockey stars Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie).
The announcement has been met with excitement from fans, with one commenting: 'You guys move FAST!!!! I’m so happy right now, we have been begging for this.' Another wrote: 'You have made my Christmas sooooo much better,' while a third said: 'Im cancelling some of my other streaming services to get skytv just for this show.'
Heated Rivalry has proven highly popular in its native Canada, becoming the biggest original series on record for streaming service Crave, according to Deadline. It has already been renewed for a second season, and currently holds a 95% score on Rotten Tomatoes. The critics' consensus calls it 'an all-consuming, steamy, dreamy love fest of true queer intent.'
