Harlan Coben is back with another gripping thriller, as Netflix prepares to release 'I Will Find You,' an adaptation of his 2023 novel. The eight-part series follows David Burroughs (Sam Worthington), a man serving a life sentence for the murder of his son, despite being innocent.
Plot and Cast
David's world is turned upside down when his sister-in-law Rachel (Britt Lower), an investigative journalist, visits him with evidence that his son may still be alive. Determined to uncover the truth, David must break out of prison and embark on a quest for justice. The cast also includes Milo Ventimiglia as Hayden, Rachel's ex-boyfriend and confidant.
Creative Team's Excitement
Coben described the cast as a 'dream team of talent,' while showrunner Robert Hull praised their performances. 'Any one of these incredible artists would be a dream on their own. The fact we’ve somehow drawn them all in is a testament to the power of Harlan’s storytelling,' Hull said.
Critical Reception
The Guardian called the series 'another daft, formulaic, weirdly gripping case in point' of Coben's adaptations, offering a backhanded compliment that fans of his previous work will likely enjoy.
'I Will Find You' streams on Netflix from Thursday, June 18.
