Harlan Coben Teams Up with TV Titans for Netflix Thriller

Harlan Coben has confirmed two new Netflix thrillers, including an adaptation of his iconic Myron Bolitar series, co-created with David E. Kelley of Lincoln Lawyer and Kyle Long of Suits. The announcement follows the success of I Will Find You, which continues to top Netflix's most-watched charts.

Myron Bolitar Adaptation in Development

The Myron Bolitar series, which began with the 1995 novel Deal Breaker, follows a former NBA star turned sports agent who frequently investigates blackmail, murder, and other crimes. The character has appeared in 12 of Coben's novels. The adaptation is currently in development with an anticipated release in late 2027.

Jinny Howe, Netflix's Head of Series for the US and Canada, described Bolitar as Coben's "most personal and iconic character." She added: "Bringing this story to the screen has been a big priority for us, and we knew that finding the right creative partners was essential. It's been a dream to collaborate with David E. Kelley - a true master of the genre, and the talented Kyle Long on this series."

The Woods Arrives in Early 2027

Before Myron Bolitar, another Coben adaptation, The Woods, will premiere in early 2027. Based on Coben's 2007 novel, the series stars Michelle Keegan (Fool Me Once) as a character investigating the disappearance of a barrister's sister two decades earlier, uncovering dark secrets. The cast also includes Tom Bateman (Behind Her Eyes), Mandeep Dhillon (Mobland), and Pearce Quigley (Small Prophets).

This marks another collaboration between Coben and Netflix, following hits like Run Away and I Will Find You. The partnership continues to expand with these new projects.
