The last series will premiere in America this month, and the two actors have offered a glimpse of what to expect. In a clip shared on Masterpiece PBS's Instagram, Robson and Rishi were seen on set in front of an old-fashioned ambulance. Robson announced, "Season 11! But, it's not just season 11, it's the final ever season of Grantchester!" He then made a faux crying sound before hugging Rishi.
Character Developments
When asked about Reverend Alphy's journey in the final instalment, Rishi replied, "Oh, he's going through a lot. Up and down, he's in the gutter. We have a falling out, don't we?" A sneak peek showed DI Geordie unimpressed with Alphy's behaviour. Robson also hinted at a potential replacement for his character, commenting, "For Geordie, is it time for him to pass on the baton?"
