The Cast and Central Theme
Robson Green and Rishi Nair once again lead the cast, reprising their roles as the investigative duo DI Geordie Keating and Reverend Alphy Kottaram. This series delves deeply into the theme of family and hidden pasts.
Robson Green teased the narrative, explaining that the season explores "the notion of family and what it means to us, and how you construct one when you've never had one." The dynamic between Geordie and Alphy will be tested as a secret foreshadowed in series nine finally comes to light. "Alphy goes in search of his identity," Green revealed, noting this personal journey opens a "Pandora's Box," especially when Geordie interferes.
Rishi Nair, discussing his return, expressed his initial relief at being asked back: "I was just relieved that I didn't get the show cancelled single-handedly!" He acknowledged the challenge of following predecessors James Norton and Tom Brittney, but praised the warm welcome from the cast and crew.
