Grantchester season 10, the penultimate chapter of the period drama, will premiere in the UK on Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th January at 9pm on ITV1. The season has already aired in the US, but UK fans have been waiting for its release.
Leads Robson Green and Rishi Nair have teased a major secret that will fracture the bond between DI Geordie Keating and Reverend Alphy Kottaram. Speaking to RadioTimes.com, Nair explained that Alphy's hidden past will come to light, affecting his relationship with Geordie and the wider Grantchester community.
Nair revealed that Alphy has been "playing the field" since last season but struggles with commitment due to past trauma. He eventually meets someone who could be a potential partner, but as the season progresses, he must confront his past, which impacts his friendships.
The official synopsis states: "As DI Geordie Keating and Reverend Alphy Kottaram continue to work together as a crime-solving duo in scenic Grantchester, they must also support each other through changing times, family struggles and personal secrets. Alphy feels like he’s found a home, but he’s forced to confront secrets he’s kept close to his chest."
