Baasit Siddiqui, a beloved star from Channel 4's Gogglebox, has received an outpouring of support from fans after sharing a rare photograph of his mother, Nasreen, celebrating her birthday. The 42-year-old, who first appeared on the show in 2023 alongside his siblings Umar and Raza and their father Sid, posted the image on Instagram as part of a summer photo dump.
In the post, Baasit included a picture of Nasreen blowing out candles on a cake, marking a rare public glimpse of the family matriarch, who has remained absent from the Gogglebox sofa. The Derby-based family is known for their witty commentary on television, and fans quickly flooded the comments with birthday wishes for Nasreen.
Baasit also shared updates on his wife Melissa's training for the Great North Run, and playful snapshots of their children, Amelia and Theodore. One fan wrote: 'Some lovely photos there, hope your mum had a lovely birthday, Mel will ace her run.' Another added: 'Happy Birthday to your Mum. Lovely Photos.'
Gogglebox series 26 is set to premiere on Friday, September 5, 2025, on Channel 4.
