Gogglebox star Sophie Sandiford has delighted fans by sharing updates from a romantic trip abroad with her boyfriend, Ben McKeown. The reality TV star, known for her role as an armchair critic alongside her brother Pete, has swapped Blackpool for the bright lights of Las Vegas.
Sophie, who has amassed 593,000 followers on Instagram, posted snaps in front of the famous Las Vegas sign and a view of the Grand Canyon. She captioned the post: "Vegas [heart emoji] us." The post has been liked thousands of times, including by her Gogglebox co-stars Izzi Warner, Ellie Warner, Georgia Bell, Simon Minty, and Jane Minty, as well as her sister-in-law Paige Sandiford.
Sophie has been in a relationship with Ben since 2022, after first sparking rumours by sharing a photo of them together on Instagram. The couple confirmed the romance on a subsequent episode of Gogglebox, where Pete asked how things were going. Sophie replied: "Really good yeah. I've snared myself a hunk." Pete jokingly criticised Ben's height, claiming he wasn't six foot as he had said, adding: "Lies, already built on lies, oh dear." Sophie hit back, saying Pete was "jealous" because Ben made him "look like one of the borrowers."
Sophie and Pete are currently appearing in the latest series of the Channel 4 programme, which sees them comment on the week's best TV. Tomorrow's episode will be a celebrity special in aid of Stand Up to Cancer, featuring stars such as Frank Skinner and Miriam Margolyes making their Gogglebox debuts. The special airs on Channel 4 at 9pm.
