Gogglebox stars Jenny Newby and Lee Riley have bid farewell to fans as the current series of the Channel 4 show comes to an end. The pair, who have been fan favourites since joining in 2014, shared a video on Instagram announcing the conclusion of series 27.
In the clip, Lee said: 'Well guys, that's it, the last of the show this evening. I hope you've enjoyed all 16 weeks as much as we have. Thank you for all your support through this series.' Jenny added: 'Yeah and we hope to see you all again in August.' Lee confirmed they will return at the end of August or September.
Fans quickly took to the comments to express their support. One wrote: 'You two never fail to make me smile, you are both the reason I watch Gogglebox. Never stop the double act. Have a wonderful summer.' Another said: 'Will miss you all but looking forward to the laughs again… especially from you two!'
A 'best of' episode is scheduled to air on Friday, May 29. The news comes after the recent passing of former Gogglebox star Ken Harwood, who appeared on the show from 2020 to 2022 with his wife Anne. He died aged 77, and a tribute was featured in an earlier episode.
