Good Morning Britain journalist Zoe Muldoon has announced her departure from the ITV programme in an emotional statement on Instagram. Sharing highlights from her career, she wrote: 'Saying goodbye to Good Morning Britain……for now! Swapping the early mornings to report for the 6pm news @granadareports for the next 9-12 months, starting tomorrow.'
Fans were quick to send their best wishes, with comments including 'Huge congrats, my darling' and 'Congratulations and good luck with the change.' Another follower added: 'No one better than you for this, congrats, guapa.'
Muldoon, who also serves as Granada Reports’ Early Presenter and reporter, has previously worked in the newsrooms of ITV News Tyne Tees and ITV News Central. Her departure comes amid a series of changes at ITV, including Good Morning Britain extending by half an hour until 9.30am, while Lorraine has been cut to 30 minutes, airing from 9.30am to 10am.
Andrew Pierce also confirmed his exit from GMB after 10 years, stating on social media: 'Next week sadly is my last on @gmb, but viewers can tune in to see me presenting on @GBNEWS from 9.30am Monday to Thursday.' Additionally, reports suggest Paul Brand is set to join the GMB presenting line-up, with a source describing him as a 'rising star'.
