Good Morning Britain viewers voiced their frustrations as the programme aired an update on King Charles. On Wednesday's instalment of the ITV programme, it was announced that the King, 77, kicked off his tour of the Caribbean with a speech describing slavery as "the great suffering of the past".

Ahead of the tour, a Buckingham Palace spokesperson acknowledged that there are "important discussions taking place" about colonial legacy and the slave trade, but insisted the King would not be drawn into matters of reparations.
However, the President of Guyana said reparative justice must include a "full and unconditional apology" for the slave trade.
Viewers React to Apology Question
During Good Morning Britain, Ashna Hurynag claimed: "There is a real sense that he is stopping short of an apology. Are we going to get one?"
Her question left viewers furious, as they questioned why the King needs to apologise.
"He has nothing to apologise for. This was life all those years ago. Times move on," one viewer wrote on X as a second agreed: "Why should he apologise? It was a different time."
A third added: "People need to stop asking for handouts for things that happened in the past, we aren't going to the Italians asking for handouts because they invaded, took slaves and built beautiful straight roads..... Slavery still happens but it's our apology they seem to need and our purse!!"
