Francis Bourgeois, the TikTok sensation known as 'The Train Guy', has revealed his girlfriend of six years, Amy, as he prepares for a new digital series on Channel 4. The 22-year-old engineering student, who has amassed over four million followers on TikTok, shared details of their relationship in a recent interview.
Bourgeois, whose real name is not Francis, described how he and Amy spent a weekend travelling to Carlisle and back via Birmingham to see a specific train. While Amy is not a trainspotter herself, Bourgeois noted she is 'adjusting to the way of life' and has learned that trainspotters 'can be sexy'. His upcoming book is dedicated to her.
The star, who went viral during lockdown with his GoPro train videos, is set to release a series of digital shorts for Channel 4. The show will feature him schooling famous faces, including rapper AJ Tracey and footballer Jesse Lingard, in the wonders of trainspotting. Bourgeois described the experience as a way to showcase what makes him tick beyond trains.
Bourgeois, who now sports a steampunk-style rail guard uniform, said he suppressed his passion for trains during his teenage years to fit in. He sold his model railway at 16 to buy 'cool clothes', a decision he still regrets. His first TikToks were fake interviews with celebrities, but his breakthrough came when he used a GoPro to film himself waving at a Class 158 train, which garnered six million views.
