Four in a Bed Stars Clash After Host Quits

The first host of the week, Andy Pattison, suddenly quit Four in a Bed, leaving guests concerned and confused. The repeat episodes airing this Saturday, 18 July, faced further chaos after a tense clash on payment day.

Host Abandons B&B Competition

Andy Pattison had welcomed his competitors to his single-handedly run B&B in Blackpool. However, overnight, he left and did not return, forcing guests to go to a local café for breakfast. A voiceover informed viewers: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, host Andy is unable to continue in the competition. So, this morning, his guests are venturing out to a local cafe."

With no further explanation, guests were left wondering what had happened and disappointed they could not continue their stay. When the episode first aired, viewers fumed over the "pointless" segment. One fan questioned: "Jesus whats happened ??????????????" Another said: "I hate it when this happens We need to know full story." A third wrote: "What was the point of the breakfast? Pathetic." Someone else noted: "Well that was a first. We've had plenty leave the competition but I don't think I've ever seen a host leave in the middle of hosting before!" Yet another echoed: "So weird to continue the episode when the place isn’t being judged. felt pretty pointless." One defender said: "Oh no Andy was lovely and I bet his place would’ve done well."

Payment Day Clash Over Cleanliness

As the competition continued, there was an awkward clash on payment day. Four in a Bed stars Karen and Bryan had welcomed guests to Bechan Retreats, but Ying and Jean were horrified by what they discovered in their bed, including a "short and curly" hair, they claimed. Karen previously stated: "I'm bewildered, baffled," before confronting Ying and Jean on payment day. Ying detailed: "We checked the bed, and when we turned the quilt, we found a hair, and in the bathroom we found hair in the shower." Karen responded: "I'm in disbelief," maintaining the bedding was fresh linen and the bathroom had been thoroughly cleaned. Ying insisted: "It's a pubic hair," as Karen fired back: "I find it incredibly hard to believe." She continued: "I would class our cleaning as excellent," while Ying and Jean confessed to the camera that they'd "upset" Karen. Their final rivals, Charlotte and Matt, admitted: "I think there may be a bit of a war going on between the other two B&Bs regarding cleanliness, let's hope it doesn't get too dirty."

Four in a Bed is available to watch on Channel 4.
