The BBC has released a first-look image of Charlie Heaton as Charles Shelby in the upcoming spin-off of Peaky Blinders. Heaton, known for his roles in Stranger Things and Industry, stars in the new chapter written and created by Steven Knight. The series is currently filming in and around Digbeth Loc. Studios in Birmingham.
Set a decade after World War Two, the story follows Charles Shelby as he attempts to embrace normality after a violent war fought behind enemy lines. He has severed ties with the Peaky Blinders gang and his half-brother Duke, played by Jamie Bell. The question remains whether he can truly escape his family's legacy.
The spin-off also stars Jessica Brown Findlay, Lashana Lynch, and Lucy Karczewski in her television debut. The two six-episode series will premiere on BBC iPlayer and BBC One in the UK, and on Netflix internationally.
