Angel and Dick Strawbridge, stars of the hit Channel 4 series Escape to the Chateau, have celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary. The couple, who married at their home, the Chateau de La Motte Husson in France, on 13 November 2015, marked the occasion with a day of reflection in the city of Rennes.
Taking to Instagram on Friday, the couple shared a series of throwback photos from their wedding day and life since, alongside their two children, Arthur, 12, and Dorothy, 11. They wrote: 'We spent a glorious day wandering around Rennes, reminiscing about our wedding, chatting about the children, family, friends, and all the beautiful chaos that led up to the big day.'
The couple, who first met in 2010 through a mutual friend, said they 'laughed, we cried (happy tears, of course!), and felt so blessed'. They added: 'It's hard to believe that 15 years ago today, we sat across a table and instantly fell in love... From that moment on, we've been inseparable and what an adventure it's been.'
Angel and Dick purchased the chateau for £280,000 in 2015 and undertook extensive renovations before their wedding. In a previous interview with HELLO!, Angel recalled the exhaustion of the build-up, saying: 'We'd been working 18, 20 or 22 hours a day... Most of the house wasn't done.' However, she noted that on the day itself, 'everything was going to be okay'.
For their wedding, Angel wore a satin midi dress with an ornate lace cape, while Dick opted for a green tweed two-piece suit. The couple ended their anniversary day with dinner at Café Grandmas, raising a toast 'to the best 15 years of our lives'.
