Emmerdale's Tom King 'to be killed off' as killer 'unveiled' and it's not Belle
Emmerdale's Tom King 'to be killed off' as killer 'unveiled'

Tom King is heading back to Emmerdale, but fans believe the villain could be killed off in a shock 'whodunnit' storyline. Tom (James Chase) was sent to prison for domestic abuse against Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper), but his impending release has sparked speculation about his fate.

Tom's Return and Belle's Reaction

Tom struck up a romance with Belle in 2023, and the pair quickly fell in love. However, in a harrowing twist, Belle became the victim of domestic abuse at the hands of Tom. He made her life a living nightmare for over a year by gaslighting and physically and emotionally abusing her, even pretending that their dog Piper had died as part of his twisted mind games.

Belle's ordeal came to an end when Tom was found guilty of assault and controlling and coercive behaviour, receiving a three-year custodial sentence. Now, it has been confirmed that Tom is set to be released from prison soon, with vicar Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) telling Belle that Tom is a reformed character, thanks to his prison chaplaincy project.

Belle was alarmed by the news and was informed that Tom wants to see her before his release. Despite her initial unwillingness to have any contact with him, Belle later told her partner Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah) that she wanted to see him. However, in Tuesday's episode (October 20), after speaking to Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) - who was abused by past villager Pierce Harris (Jonathan Wrathe) - Belle decided not to see him.

Fans Predict a 'Whodunnit'

Fans now think the soap could be set for another 'whodunnit' storyline involving Tom. On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, one person said: "Tom King is going to come back with vengeance but it will probably result in his death." Someone else added: "Another whodunnit most likely." A third fan then wrote: "I agree."

As for who Tom's potential village killer could be, another fan suggested Kammy. They said: "I'd like it to be Kammy! Give him a meaty storyline." A fifth then agreed: "Same Here I really like Kammy."

Emmerdale airs Monday to Friday at 8:00pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
