Emmerdale: Charity Dingle Spirals After Dr Todd's Exit, Lies About Postnatal Depression

Emmerdale fans have seen the fallout from Dr Todd's departure this week, as the vile character seemingly got away with the sexual assault of Charity Dingle. Despite Charity reporting the attack, the police told her there was insufficient evidence to charge Todd, leading her to withdraw her statement.

In Friday's episode, Charity's turmoil continues as she lies to her family, claiming she is suffering from postnatal depression. Her husband Mack and GP Manpreet Sharma are both led to believe this false diagnosis, with Manpreet prescribing medication.

However, Charity is bottling up the real cause of her distress: the horrific assault ordeal. She turns to alcohol and sleeping pills to numb the pain, while her granddaughter Sarah urges her to confide in someone. The question remains whether Charity will eventually tell the truth.
