Emmerdale: Thea's Dad Identity Sealed as Kim Tate Daughter Twist
Emmerdale: Thea's Dad Identity Sealed in Kim Tate Twist

Emmerdale is set to reveal the identity of Thea Ramsden's father as the truth about her being Kim Tate's long-lost daughter finally comes to light in the village. Thea, known as DS Ramsden, was placed for adoption by Kim years ago, and she now seeks revenge against her biological mother.

With the secret about who she really is about to be exposed, one major question remains unanswered: who is Thea's dad? The show has confirmed that this revelation will happen soon, but for now, fans are left to speculate among several possibilities.

Graham Foster as a Potential Father

One strong theory points to Graham Foster, Kim's former flame and a kind of 'spy' at Home Farm. Kim and Graham share a long history, leading fans to wonder if Thea could be Graham's daughter. One fan theorised: "The expression on Kim's face when Graham mentioned knowing what it's like to lose a child leads me to believe that Thea is Graham's." Another agreed: "I get a feeling it's going to be Graham."

Steve Marchant and Frank Tate Theories

Another popular theory is that Kim's ex-husband Steve Marchant is Thea's father, given the timings. Thea was born in 1999, before Kim had her adopted as a baby. Kim and Steve have a troubled history, with Kim framing Steve for fraudulent crimes and him going to prison, but it remains unclear if he will return if he is the father.

Kim's first husband, Frank Tate, died in 1997, with Kim famously leaving him for dead. While this predates Thea's apparent birth year of 1999, fans have still wondered if Thea could be a Tate and Frank's child. One fan asked: "Is she a Tate from Frank's side?" while another said: "Another of Frank's kid coming through the woodwork?" Some have even speculated that Thea might be Frank's granddaughter, perhaps from a child of Kim and Chris Tate.

Possibility of a New Character

There is also the chance that Thea's father is someone completely new to the show. Kim left Emmerdale in 1999, the year Thea was born, so it is possible she had a romance with someone viewers have never met, either before or after her exit. This mystery person could be Thea's father.

Emmerdale producer Sophie Roper previously teased that the truth would come out, saying: "The audience has got so many questions right now! As the story evolves, we're absolutely going to be answering those and there’ll be some surprises along the way as well."

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
