Emmerdale actress Isabel Hodgins has revealed that she and her husband Adam Whitehead moved their wedding forward after deciding they wanted to start a family sooner. The couple, who welcomed their daughter Georgie Grace Whitehead on February 11, originally planned to marry in August 2025 but brought the date forward to April 2025.
In an Instagram post shared on Monday, Hodgins wrote: 'A year ago today I find out I was pregnant. Deep down I always knew I wanted to be a mum and meeting Adam solidified that for me. So much so we cancelled our wedding that wasn’t until August this year because I didn’t want to wait that long to start our family.'
The couple tied the knot at Castlefield Rooms in Manchester city centre, with the ceremony attended by several of Hodgins' Emmerdale co-stars, including Danny Miller, Mark Jordon, Laura Norton, Jeff Hordley and Zoë Henry. Hodgins, who hails from Salford, had previously said Manchester was the only place she wanted to marry.
Hodgins, best known for playing Victoria Sugden on the ITV soap for two decades, gave birth to Georgie on February 11, with the baby weighing 8lbs 5oz. The actress has been sharing updates on 'mum life' on social media and confirmed in a TikTok video in April that she will return to Emmerdale later this year.
