Emmerdale newcomer Kev has vowed to destroy John Sugden after revealing he is Robert Sugden's secret husband. The character, who appeared on Monday night, dropped a death bombshell on Robert, disclosing he has only months to live.
Kev and Robert married in prison, where Kev protected Robert from beatings and harassment. Robert told his sister Victoria that he owes Kev his life and wants to support him during his illness. However, Kev is unaware of Aaron Dingle, Robert's true love, who lives in the village.
When Kev learned someone framed Robert, landing him back in a cell, he demanded to know who it was. Robert refused to name them, but Kev angrily insisted he would get rid of them for good. This hints that if John Sugden, who is on the run, returns, Kev may seek revenge.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
