Emmerdale is off air tonight, Monday 29 June, due to the FIFA World Cup 2026 match between Brazil and Japan. The ITV soap typically airs Monday to Friday at 8pm, but football coverage has caused schedule disruptions this week.

What happened in the last episode?
The last episode aired on Thursday 25 June, where Lewis Barton remained captive by newcomer Kylie, and Charity Dingle revealed her recent struggles.

In forthcoming scenes, Charity admits that Caitlin Todd was blackmailing her. DS Reid agrees to take a statement regarding the blackmail allegation but cautions that it will be handled separately from the sexual assault charge, leaving Charity dismayed.
Heartbroken, Charity regrets coming clean, fearing she has let down granddaughter Sarah Sugden and that Dr Todd will evade justice. Meanwhile, Mack Boyd worries when Charity insists on attending Leyla's christening despite her turmoil.
At the christening after party, Mack is overwhelmed by secrecy and attempts to pick a fight with Kev Townsend. Kev refuses to bite but pushes Mack to account for his behaviour. Mack blurts out that Charity has been unfaithful, and Kev urges him to get revenge "in a clever way."
Shortly after, Mack confronts Dr Todd at her office in a Sheffield hospital. Dr Todd denies the allegations, insisting their encounter was consensual. Mack silences her, vowing to see her locked up for the rape of his wife. Dr Todd remains composed when security arrives, and Mack issues a chilling final warning, vowing to kill her if she ever touches Charity again. Police later arrive to speak with Mack.
Meanwhile, Charity voices doubts about securing justice, but bolstered by Serena's support, she becomes resolute. Elsewhere, Sarah grows suspicious when Serena reveals knowledge of Robert's murderous brother, John. Sarah learns Serena has been sleeping in her car and offers her a place to stay. Kev wonders where he recognises Serena from.
Additionally, the soap will leap forward to a crime scene, where a flash photograph is captured and we glimpse the victim's identity.
