Emmerdale viewers are predicting the downfall of Celia Daniels after Moira Dingle slapped her in Thursday's episode. The villainous farmer has been terrorising the village and running a slavery ring on Moira's farm, but fans believe the end is near after Moira and Cain Dingle vowed to take her down.
The drama unfolded when Moira discovered doctored invoices at Celia's filthy farmhouse. Confronting her at The Woolpack, Moira accused Celia of conning her in their turkey-rearing business. When Celia coldly suggested Moira's brain tumour had returned, Moira slapped her across the face, shocking onlookers.
Celia later told her accomplice Ray Walters to stick to their plan, saying: 'Moira said plenty. She slapped me round the face in the pub. But she is making my life so easy. She has a dead body on her land, her signature is all over the paperwork and now she's assaulted me in front of witnesses.'
However, fans rejoiced as Moira and Cain vowed to interrogate the pair. Moira declared: 'I don't take kindly to conniving, two-faced losers. You'd better brace yourself, Celia.' Social media erupted with praise, with one fan writing: 'Moira's slap on Celia was so satisfying.'
Actress Jaye Griffiths, who plays Celia, recently announced her departure from the show, saying: 'I knew it was finite, which I am very sad about, because I would like to stay forever, but it's such a strong arc.'
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
