The crash occurred after Chloe, who recently discovered that Mackenzie and Charity had a night of passion, decided to drive to Scotland with Mackenzie. En route, they encountered Charity stranded by the roadside. Chloe offered her a lift but soon became hostile, deliberately missing their turn and heading towards the moors. As tensions escalated, a van collided with their car, causing it to roll multiple times before teetering on the edge of a cliff.
Mackenzie regained consciousness and called for help, but the car began to slip. He faced an impossible choice: save either Charity or Chloe as they reached out to him. The episode ended with Mackenzie grabbing one hand, leaving the identity of the saved person—and the fate of the other—unrevealed.
