Emmerdale fans have predicted a shock new romance for Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) with newcomer Serena Sugden (Casey Al-Shaqsy), potentially ending his marriage to Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins).
Mackenzie's Troubled Marriage to Charity
Mack joined the ITV soap in 2020 as the brother of Moira Dingle and has been at the center of dramatic storylines, including affairs, being held captive, and tortured by killer John Sugden. Recently, Mack discovered Charity's one-night stand with Ross Barton (Michael Parr), which left her pregnant. Despite this, Mack chose to support Charity after she was sexually assaulted by Dr Todd, but the betrayal has strained their relationship.
Fan Predictions for a New Romance
On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, viewers speculated that Mack and Charity are heading for a split. One fan wrote: "I really feel like Charity and Mackenzie are going to split soon. Too much has happened between them." Another added: "Mack and Serena romance?" A third commented: "I can see this happening." However, one user questioned: "Would he do that to Charity though? But who knows in soap land."
Serena Sugden's Arrival in the Village
Serena made her debut last month, revealing to Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) that her grandfather was his father's cousin. She quickly integrated into village life, building connections and landing a job at The Woolpack. Her growing presence has led fans to believe she could be Mack's new love interest.
