Emmerdale fans 'identify' mystery Home Farm figure in Baby Tate plot

Emmerdale viewers are speculating over the identity of the hooded figure spotted at Home Farm during Sunday's episode, after Baby Tate was reported missing. Graham Foster had been caring for Joe Tate's baby son at a cottage, but rushed to Home Farm to tell Kim that the child had vanished.

A card with a warning soon revealed that someone had taken the baby, and the police were not to be informed. Kim and Graham were told to await further instructions, and Kim later told Detective Thea Ramsden about the incident, while begging her not to tell anyone.

Who could the hooded figure be?

Moments before this, Kim sent an oblivious Joe, who believes his son has been adopted, to Monaco. With Graham back at the cottage and Kim about to go to bed, she was alarmed to hear a noise in the house after finding a child's toy on the floor. Ignoring what she heard, she left the room, only for viewers to see a hooded person through an open door.

Thea Ramsden is one possibility. She is the secret daughter of Kim, who had her adopted years earlier. Thea is back for revenge and is trying to expose Kim over Baby Tate's "illegal adoption", believing Kim is selling the child. She may have taken the baby to save it, or she could simply be harassing Kim further.

Other suspects in the frame

Serena Sugden is another contender. She is the only person who knows about Thea's link to Kim and her revenge plan, and she has previously sneaked into Home Farm on Thea's behalf. Some fans wonder if Serena might have taken Baby Tate, whether on Thea's orders or not.

Joe Tate has apparently left the country for a night or two, and he does not know his son is living with Graham or that the adoption was not real. Some fans suspect he may actually know what is going on and could be hiding at Home Farm to uncover the truth.

Jamie Tate is also a strong contender, with many fans convinced he has returned to take revenge on Kim. A theory suggests Jamie has come back and stolen the baby to get back at his mother, possibly helping his secret sister Thea take her down.

Graham Foster could be covering his tracks with fake concern, as he was the last person seen with the baby and claimed he left him alone for a few seconds. He comes face-to-face with the kidnapper next week, and it was not long ago that Graham was out to get Kim with a mystery accomplice.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
