In a devastating new plot twist, Emmerdale villain Celia Daniels has set in motion a sinister plan to frame beloved farmer Moira Dingle for murder. The shocking development aired during the ITV soap's episode on Monday, 24th November 2025, revealing the depths Celia will sink to in order to protect herself.
The Sinister Setup
The scheme unfolded after the tragic death of Anya, a young mother and farm worker who had been exploited by Celia and her accomplice, Ray Walters. Anya died from a treatable infection following an injury, after being prevented from seeking medical help. Her body was then unceremoniously dumped in a feed shed.
When the kind-hearted Bear Wolf discovered Anya's body, he demanded a proper funeral. Celia appeared to acquiesce, but her compliance was a carefully constructed ruse. She directed Bear and Ray to bury Anya on land belonging to Butlers Farm, which is owned by Moira Dingle.
A Calculated Frame Job
The true horror of Celia's plan was revealed in a private conversation with Ray. Prior to the burial, Celia had visited Moira at her home under the guise of discussing a business contract. During this visit, she secretly took a blanket from Moira's property.
She then used this blanket to wrap Anya's body before burial. With the body now wrapped in material containing Moira's DNA and buried on her land, Celia has created a perfect frame job. She smugly explained to Ray that if the body is ever discovered, or if Bear talks, all evidence will point directly to Moira.
Exit Confirmed Amidst the Turmoil
This chilling development comes as actress Jaye Griffiths, who plays Celia, confirmed her character's exit from the soap. Griffiths revealed that her role was always intended for a limited time, signalling that Celia's reign of terror in the village will soon reach its conclusion.
Viewers are now left wondering if Celia's 'insurance plan' will be activated, potentially landing Moira in prison for a crime she didn't commit. With Celia's departure on the horizon, the stage is set for a dramatic and explosive exit storyline.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
