Next week on EastEnders, Zoe Slater makes a shocking discovery in her brother Tommy's rucksack, leading her to believe he is her tormentor. Despite Tommy's protests of innocence, Zoe lashes out at him, Kat, and Alfie. The situation escalates as Zoe also argues with Vicki Fowler, prompting Kat to reluctantly ask her to leave. Zoe seeks refuge with Anthony and later confides in Lauren Branning, but someone watches from the shadows.
Meanwhile, Freddie Slater and Anna Knight prepare to leave Walford for a travelling adventure, holding farewell celebrations. Lily Slater worries about her grandmother Jean's mental health, especially after Freddie's departure. Lily reveals that Doctor Anthony suggested Jean make an appointment, but Jean angrily refuses.
Anthony's own secret appears to be exposed after a confrontation with Howie Danes. Howie, who is hiding recent money troubles, proposes to Kim Fox at the Christmas Lights switch-on. Kim accepts, but Anthony becomes suspicious of Howie and confronts him. However, Howie soon gains the upper hand. Kim plans an engagement party, but the event does not go as planned as secrets are revealed.
Elsewhere, Lauren Branning hides her troubles, but her partner Peter Beale grows suspicious. Ian Beale is livid over a discovery, while Harry Mitchell buys more drugs. Nicola fears the impact of Teddy's guilty plea on Harry after Okie's death. She reluctantly leaves Harry to attend court, but Harry flees the house. He bumps into Okie's sister Dejia, who invites him to the memorial service, leaving Harry feeling guilty. Kojo Asare decides to attend, and Harry may join him. Nicola continues to hide her pregnancy from George Knight.
Nigel, Julie, and Lexi audition locals for Nigel's film, with Priya, Elaine, Callum, Harvey, and Ian vying for roles. Lexi tasks Billy with persuading Phil to take a part in the film.
