Amy and Avani devise a plan and ask Joel to meet them at the park. There, Avani, Denzel, Barney, Lily, Amy, Ricky, and Nugget lock Joel to a fence and douse him in beer while filming his humiliation. The attack later leads to a call to Jack from work, causing further strain.

Denise and Jack are strained as she struggles to open up to him about her cancer battle. Jack is placed on compassionate leave, leaving him upset. Phil offers Jack advice, and Denise eventually opens up about her friend's death. As Jack struggles with his emotions, he leaves, but by week's end, they reconcile. However, their peace is short-lived when Jack receives a call about Joel's attack.
Lauren and Mark's Passionate Secret
Tensions simmer between Lauren and Mark as they clash over a discovery. Mark is nearly caught by police and asks Lauren for help. At a lock-up, tension turns to passion.
