Sean Slater has returned to Albert Square, and our EastEnders expert predicts a DNA twist involving Amy Mitchell, while Elaine Peacock and Ian Beale finally get together. The column also looks at Lee Carter's continued decline and Amy's retaliation against Craig.
Sean's Return Sparks DNA Theory
Sean Slater (Robert Kazinsky) arrived back in Walford from Brazil to help find Amy Mitchell after she vanished with Craig. He said he promised Amy's mum Roxy he would look after her, and he has mentioned the paternal connection he has with her.
Back in 2008, it was revealed that Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) was Amy's biological dad, but the expert is convinced a plot twist is on the horizon. The theory is that the DNA test was wrong or tampered with all those years ago, possibly by Archie, who never was a big fan of Sean. This could mean Amy is Sean's daughter all along.
Elaine and Ian Get Together
After a while of will-they-won't-they, Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) and Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) are finally going to get together. The pair were heard getting together at the fireworks bash, with Ian's grandson Louie likely scarred for life.
The expert thinks Elaine could do much better, noting Ian has had about 100 wives and it never ends well. A suggestion is made for Elaine to have a toyboy, with the idea of her and Sean together described as TV gold.
Lee Carter's Downfall
Lee Carter (Danny Hatchard) has sunk further into despair, turning to alcohol to cope with the 'death' of his dad Mick. He has ruined his relationship with girlfriend Jess (Emma Lau), turned up drunk to his sister's ante natal class, and spilled the beans to Cindy (Michelle Collins) that his mum and Max (Jake Wood) were in a secret relationship.
Given Cindy loves revenge and men, the expert suggests she could sink her claws into Lee as a way to get revenge on Linda by turning her son against her.
Amy Fights Back
Amy Mitchell finally hit back against Craig, whacking him over the head and leaving him for dead. The storyline involving her being groomed by the awful copper has been difficult to watch.
The expert was expecting Craig's demise but not courtesy of Amy, noting her mum and Auntie Ronnie would be proud.
