EastEnders has released first-look images of Ben Mitchell and Callum Highway's emotional reunion at a family funeral. The pair, who married in 2021, see each other for the first time in over a year and share a passionate kiss in a graveyard.
The reunion takes place at the funeral of Jonno Highway, Callum and Stuart's late father. Ben, played by Max Bowden, is on day release from prison in the US, where he was jailed for credit card fraud. He is seen with visible handcuffs.
Stuart Highway, played by Ricky Champ, also returns to Walford for the funeral. He left the Square in 2022 with his wife Raine and son Roland. Stuart is visibly emotional as he remembers his father.
Johnny Carter, played by Charlie Suff, is also in attendance. Unbeknownst to Ben, Callum has been unfaithful, having slept with Johnny months earlier. The pair felt guilty about their actions.
