EastEnders fans have branded Strictly Come Dancing star La Voix 'a riot' as they hailed her cameo on the BBC soap. The drag queen, whose non-performer name is Chris Dennis, made her Walford debut in a special Pride-themed episode that aired on Thursday, June 2.
La Voix's EastEnders Debut
La Voix, who competed in the 23rd series of Strictly Come Dancing last year, was paired with professional dancer Aljaz Skorjanec and made history as the first drag queen to compete on the main series. She was forced to withdraw due to an injury just before the iconic Blackpool edition, one of three contestants whose exit occurred over the course of the 2025 series due to injury.
In the episode, La Voix was booked for a surprise Pride performance at The Queen Vic, but owners Alfie and Kat Moon became frustrated with Cindy Beale, who wanted the singer to perform at The Prince Albert instead. Upon her arrival, La Voix complained to her agent about being placed in a 'dive bar', stating, 'I should be with Kylie on the wheel, not drinking snake bites with the dregs of society.'
Hilarious Moments
One standout moment saw La Voix mistake Zoe Slater and her grandmother Big Mo as a couple, noting that the 'age gap was a bit creepy'. Alfie convinced La Voix to stay by getting into drag in an outfit inspired by his wife Kat, whom he claimed he actually was. Eventually stepping on stage, La Voix told Alfie he was 'resisting pressure to look good', called Callum Highway out for wearing a beige outfit, and told Tracey the barmaid that her zebra print top made her look like a bar code.
