Influencer's Smart Glasses Capture Apparent Phone Snatch Attempt in London

An influencer has filmed an apparent attempted phone snatching in London while livestreaming with smart glasses. Ayoub Alouane, a self-described 'international speaker', was recording on what appeared to be Ray Ban Meta sunglasses when a masked cyclist sped past and reached for his phone.

In the footage, Mr Alouane can be seen speaking into his phone before a cyclist hurtles by and appears to try to snatch the device. He reacts with an expletive. The glasses, which retail for up to £329, captured the incident.

This is not the first such case involving influencers. In March, TikToker Sophie Hockings recorded an alleged attempted theft in Highbury Fields, Islington. A cyclist swiped her phone but returned it after she asked politely. She told MailOnline she did not report it to police, noting the thief wore gloves and a mask.

In another incident in April, content creator Aminah Ali was filming outside a London restaurant when a woman allegedly used a piece of paper to cover and steal her phone. Ms Ali only realised later when a friend's video revealed the theft. She warned others to be vigilant, as 'your phone can be snatched out of your hand at any time'.
