EastEnders spoilers have confirmed that Craig Ingram (Matthew James Bailey) is dead after Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd) struck him with a candlestick during a struggle. Amy has returned to Walford and, after discussing whether to trust the police with Sean Slater (Rob Kazinsky), she has resolved to keep quiet, telling detectives she ran away from Craig.
Amy's fate after Craig's death
Amy was groomed by the sinister detective over several months, and the story reached a dramatic peak when they left Walford together. Trapped in a bedsit, Amy saw Craig's true nature when he resorted to violence and attacked her. Fearing for her life, she attempted to call for help, but when Craig returned home early and caught her on the phone, a struggle ensued, ending with Amy striking him across the head with a candlestick.
Tonight's visit to the Square confirmed Craig's death as Amy returned home. The question now is what happens next regarding the disgraced detective's death. Will his body be found? And if so, will Amy face life behind bars?
Janine's return and Linda's shock
Elsewhere, Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) was seen for the first time in four years, being handed a document that she branded 'perfect'. The question is: just what is she up to?
Linda (Kellie Bright) is left reeling to find out that Lee (Danny Hatchard) spent the night on Sean's floor after too many drinks. Before she has the chance to berate him, she answers a call on his phone and is left utterly floored by what she learns. In need of support, she turns to Sharon (Letitia Dean) and Elaine (Harriet Thorpe) and later confides in Max (Jake Wood). Their heart-to-heart is interrupted by a drunken Lee, who makes a scene in the Vic as Linda is forced to intervene.
Desperately in need of answers, Linda resolves to seek the truth from the only person she can – Janine. Will she get answers? And can one really be sure Janine is even telling the truth?
Other Walford developments
Meanwhile, Sharon and Eve Panesar-Unwin (Heather Peace) meet for a playdate with Ria and Albie, while Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa) and Mark (Stephen Aaron-Sipple) struggle with guilt over Ryder Hawkins' (Felix Uff) attack.
