Paramount+ has officially renewed Dutton Ranch for a second season, just two episodes before the first season concludes. The Yellowstone spin-off, starring Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler, debuted in May and drew nearly 13 million viewers in its first week, setting a record as the biggest Original Series launch in Paramount+ history.
Record-Breaking Debut
The nine-episode Western drama premiered on May 11, 2026, with a two-episode debut that attracted 2.9 million total viewers. According to Nielsen, Dutton Ranch was the number one streaming series based on average audience for its premiere week. The series also marked the biggest series premiere on cable since 2023.

Season One Plot
The first season follows Beth and Rip as they strive to forge a future together "far from the ghosts of Montana" after moving to Texas. However, they soon "collide with brutal new realities and a ruthless rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire." The cast also includes Finn Little as Carter and Annette Bening as Beulah Jackson.
